The problem w/ headers is the **cost** to add them compared to the potential HP gained. $450ish for the headers (last I checked.. long time ago, but it's Stillen, so I'm sure they haven't gotten cheaper), then at least $300 to install them.. probably more. I haven't installed them since the first sets came out years ago, nobody really buys them. It's not like Chevy pieces that can be had for $250 & installed for $150 because the car/truck is easier to work on. Yes, we don't have an documented before/after on HP gains. They're a stepping stone to larger things, just like intercoolers on the turbo cars. There's a small gain in HP, but it's essential for the steps coming afterwards to complete the puzzle. If you look at Greg & Bill's gains on fully built NAs, the money poured into them compared to the total gain just doesn't make totally tricking out the NA for speed/power a worthwhile 'investment' compared to the TT. It's the owner's money & they can do whatever they want tho. Ask Greg, he'll tell you all about it. That's why I tell the NA owners I work with that going past Stage III + pulley just doesn't pay out in total gain.
